Researching mass production sparked my fascination with the lost art of craftsmanship and the intricate, slow processes of skilled artisans. My FMP emphasizes the importance of honoring these human-made processes to foster sustainability and appreciate the stories behind our materials. Inspired by a poem my grandad wrote, Patient People, I explored various crafting practices, gathering visual references from a Japanese magazine on global crafts to blend Eastern and Western techniques and celebrate diverse traditions.
